Bounded by the East River, adjacent to three other highly sought after Queens neighborhoods:  Long Island City, Sunnyside, and Woodside, Astoria is the new hot spot to call home. Now filled with numerous restaurants, delis, bakeries, and pizza shops, you’ll almost always find some sort of action to get yourself into on any given day of the week. Not to mention, the Bohemian Hall Beer Garden lies on 24th Ave and is the oldest and first of its kind.  Which was also disguised with the name “Steinway Beer Garden” in the video game Grand Theft Auto lV. Astoria has also been the backdrop to a number of your favorite movies including, Robert De Niro’s Goodfellas and A Bronx Tale, Woody Allen’s Hollywood Ending, and Queens Logic from 1991. Because of its proximity to Manhattan and fairly reasonable rates,  Astoria has become a main attraction to those looking for to escape the hustle and bustle of living in the city. The main streets running north to south are Vernon Boulevard along the East River, 31st St, 21 St, and Steinway St, named after the founder of the Steinway & Sons piano company. Astoria is serviced by the E, M, and R trains that lead to Ditmars blvd, as well as the N and Q trains that run above ground to 31st St. All of which will have you in Manhattan within 20 minutes.
